By Asa Laws
How lovely now, the Spirit sweet,
Soft, kindly leads in glorious light
To study by celestial seat
And learn of truth, majestic sight.
How kindly then, were men led on
By Savior’s song and perfect gift,
To lift the sin from earthly dawn
And carry them, and wash their feet.
And hopeful, forward may we look,
Transgressions past, from first to last
The Savior took, that man might be
To see the Father joyfully.
